What do I need to specify when ordering a hose assembly?

The more information you give us, the better. Knowing all of the factors that affect your system will help us to specify the right hose for the right job.

When specifying a hose assembly for a particular application, no physical or environmental factor should be overlooked. Generally speaking, however, most of the information we need from you is within TEMPS.

T Temperature - What temperature? Internal, External, or both? Does it vary or is it constant? At what rate does it rise and fall? Are there any secondary cycles: process cycles vs. non-process cycles (ie. cleaning)
E Environment - Where is the hose? Outside, where it would be subjected to UV light and ozone? External temperature would fall under this catagory as well. Will the carcass (outside) of the hose be subject to chemical attack, abrasion or other trauma? Also to be considered is move ment, and the frequency of move ment, is it cyclical? Are there any sharp bends?
M Media - What is it you plan to transfer? Is it corrosive or abrasive? Solid, liquid or gas? What viscosity? What concentration?
P Pressure - At what pressure is your media conveyed? Positive or negative? Again, are there any cycles, or spikes? At what rate does pressure rise/fall?
S Size -What is the hose inner dia meter? Does OD matter? Do the fitting sizes differ?

Don't forget End Fittings... please mention what fittings you are using.
