ABOUT CHEMWARE® PFA CONTAINERS

CHEMWARE PFA containers provide unparalleled inertness. Available in seven styles, they are ideal for a wide range of demanding fluid handling and storage applications in general laboratory, semi-conductor, pharmaceutical and environmental industries.

Their unique characteristics arise from thoughtful design and use of only premium grade, virgin fluoropolymer raw materials (PFA bodies and PTFE lip seals). Fluoropolymers have an unmatched combination of chemical inertness, purity, heat resistance, low permeability, toughness and non-stick properties.

CHEMWARE® PFA containers are tough and naturally flexible from cryogenic applications at -196°C (-320°F) to above 205°C (400°F). They can withstand short term excursions to the 260°C (500°F) range (for example in a sterilization or depryogenation cycle1). In addition, they are microwave safe ¹ .

¹ If using heat/steam to autoclave, make sure the cap is loosely placed on the bottle to avoid dangerous pressure build-up. Use similar precautions if using any container in a microwave.

Type	Short Description	Long Description

Narrow Mouth Bottles	Narrow mouth transparent containers	Narrow Mouth Containers provide easy and accurate pouring of liquid contents. The transparent body allows easy viewing of contents.
Wide Mouth Bottles	Wide mouth transparent containers	Wide Mouth Containers are useful for highly viscous or dry contents, such as powders. The transparent body allows easy viewing of contents.
Wash Bottles	Wide and Narrow wash bottles with leakproof rotating nozzle	Wash Bottles are highly flexible and incorporate a leakproof nozzle that can swivel 360°degrees without losing the cap. The small orifice tip allows users to accurately direct a stream or single drop of the contents. Wash Bottles have both the Narrow and Wide Mouth designs.
Carboys	Translucent heavy walled bottle for bulk media and chemical storage	Excellent for bulk media and chemical storage, for example HPLC mobile phases. Because of their heavy wall they are not as clear as CHEMWARE® bottles. They are translucent and liquid content level is discernible inside.
Vials	Small volume vials with open top and screw caps	The CHEMWARE® PFA small volume vials have open top screw caps (6mm hole) with PTFE/silicone septa seal and are supplied in sets of ten with a handy polypropylene storage tray.
Jars	Straight sided jars with large openings for bulk solids, powders and pastes	Straight sided jars have very large openings and are particularly well-suited for bulk solids, powders and pastes or when the user needs to dip articles inside. They have knurled tops for sure grip and easy opening and closing. The 2.2L version accommodates EPA TLCP soil samples (40CFR Part 261 et. al.).
